Prowers Medical Center Auxiliary Scholarship recipients (seated, middle left to right: Marisa Haworth, Courtney Klotz, Jacy Driggers, and Alisha Dilliing) met with Auxiliary volunteers (seated from left, Vivian Ply and Lois Schroeder, PMC Gift Shoppe manager; standing left to right, Mary Rita Simmons, Wanda Simmons, Bessie McCorkle, Helen Emick, Kathie Brown, Stella Figeroa, Helen Cook, Donna Alexander, and Nellie Mauch.

Recipients introduced themselves and expressed their gratitude for the funding.  The $1,000 scholarships are for Second Level Nursing students enrolled at Lamar Community College.

PMC Auxiliary funds these scholarships, equipment for PMC, and contributions to other organizations through extensive fundraising including: operation of the PMC Gift Shoppe, creating and selling handcrafted items, and other activities. To join the PMC Auxillary, contact any member or Kathie Brown at 336.2396.

Incoming Second Level Nursing students may apply for the 2013-2014 scholarships by accessing the LCC Foundation Community Scholarship application at www.lamarcc.edu/scholarship.  Applications are due May 15.
